Article 1
These conditions are intended for the exclusive use of the Gîte d’étape du Guâ. Under no circumstances will the Gîte d’étape du Guâ be held responsible for the use of these conditions by third parties or for purposes other than tourism.
The owner undertakes to do everything in her power to give guests a warm welcome, to ensure that they have a pleasant stay and to help them get to know the region and its hiking trails.
Article 2 – Length of stay
The customer commits himself for a fixed period and cannot under any circumstances take advantage of any right to remain in the premises.
Article 3 – Booking
The reservation becomes effective upon receipt of a deposit check (or any other means of payment) for an amount equal to 30% of the total price of the stay. Payment of the deposit implies acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale.
Customers are reminded that they do not have the right of withdrawal provided for in article L 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, in accordance with article L 221-28 of the same code.
Article 4 – Cancellation by the customer
In all cases, the deposit remains the property of the owner, who reserves the right to claim the balance of the price of the stay.
If the customer does not show up before 7pm on the day the stay is due to start, and has not informed the owner of his lateness, the owner may dispose of the beds reserved. The deposit remains the property of the owner.
In the event of cancellation after arrival, the full cost of the accommodation remains the property of the owner.
Article 5 – Cancellation by the owner
If the owner cancels the holiday before the start of the holiday, he must inform the customer and ensure that the message has been received by the customer. Without prejudice to any claims for damages, the customer will be reimbursed immediately for any sums paid.
Article 6 – Arrival and departure
Unless otherwise agreed, customers must arrive between 4 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. (dinner served at 7 p.m.). In the event of delayed arrival, the customer must inform the Gîte d’étape du Guâ.
Departures take place no later than 8:30 am.
Article 7 – Rates
The prices indicated on this site are in Euros per person and per night. Prices include all taxes.
Article 8 – Payment of the balance
The balance must be paid the day before departure, together with any additional services and drinks. Any meal not cancelled the day before will be billed.
- Payment by cheque, bank transfer or cash.
- Cheque – Bank domiciled in France (payable to Gîte du Guâ).
- Bank transfer – (in euros only) to the Gîte du Guâ account (RIB provided on request). Bank transfer charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Please note that cancellation insurance is not included in our rates.
Article 9 – Tourist tax
The tourist tax is included in the price. This is a local tax that the customer must pay to the accommodation provider, who then passes it on to the Treasury.
Article 10 – Art of living and use of the premises
Customers must respect the peaceful nature of the shared premises. Smoking is not permitted in the gîte. Smoking is permitted outside the gîte.
The gîte is a convivial place where everyone respects the other occupants. It is understood that everyone is prepared to share meals with others, and communal areas must be used with respect for all those present during the stay.
Article 11 – Liability
The customer is responsible for all damage caused by him/her. The customer certifies that he/she is covered by civil liability insurance covering his/her liability and that of his/her family.
Guests’ children are the sole responsibility of their parents.
The customer undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay, and to declare and pay for any damage for which he/she may be responsible.
The Gîte du Guâ accepts no responsibility for theft, loss, damage to personal belongings and/or damage or injury to property or persons on the property, whatever the cause.
If you forget your belongings in your room at the end of your stay, we can send them to you at your request and expense.
Article 12 – Disputes
The present contract is governed by French law.
All disputes arising from the present contract, concerning its validity, interpretation, performance, termination, consequences and consequences, will be submitted to the competent courts under the conditions of common law. This contract and its consequences are governed by French law.
Article 13 – Modification of the general sales conditions
The present conditions of sale may be modified at any time without prior notice. Acceptance of and compliance with these terms and conditions of sale are deemed to have been accepted as soon as the deposit has been paid.
