The Compostela Trail, an experience

I’ve opened a gîte d’étape and it’s like being at home!

A walker, then a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, in 2025 I decided to take over a gîte d’étape in Figeac.

I’m very attached to the values I encounter on the Way, and I’m convinced that beauty, nature, spirituality, human encounters, architecture and authenticity make it a GR like no other…

My role is to welcome you on arrival at your stage of the day (Decazeville, Livinhac-le-Haut or other), and to see you back on the Way the next day in great shape, whether it be :

  • towards Cajarc, on the GR65
  • on the Célé route, via the GR651. On this route, you can hire a kayak for one or more stages.
  • on the Rocamadour route, via the GR6

For this, you’ll be treated to a convivial dinner, a clean and quiet gîte, and a hearty breakfast.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Figeac,

and a fantastic Chemin de Compostelle!
